Our Pride of Workmanship was held on Monday May 20th 2024 at Coro 88  The Pride of Workmanship Award is designed to acknowledge an employee, irrespective of age or vocation, who, in the eyes of his or her employer, displays outstanding qualities in terms of approach, attitude, dedication and commitment, to his or her job.
Pride of Workmanship awards were presented by Rotary District Governor 9675  Tonia Barnes and Pres Elect Dennise  Herrick

Volunteer “Lending A Hand”
Emma is a wonderful supporter of Eurella.  Through her voluntary group Lending Hand, Eurella has been able to complete our kitchen to allow our clients to be able to participate in cooking programs.  Emma is inspirational and has enthusiasm and drive to get things done. Emma is a wonderful ambassador for Eurella, she supports Eurella events, attending social functions, fundraising events, and assisting at client BBQ’s.  Emma is solutions focussed and just loves to get things done for the betterment of our community.  Her enthusiasm and dedication are much admired and Eurella is truly grateful for all she does.

VOLUNTEER – FETE CO-ORDINATOR

Judith is a village resident.  She has taken on the hardest, virtually full time job of organising the yearly fete, on top of running the village kiosk and is assistant Village TV Channel Manager.  These are all volunteer positions.  Judith is very efficient and creates systems to manage all three jobs to perfection in a very diplomatic manner.

DUTY OFFICER – ACTING INSPECTOR

Acting Inspector Glen Knox is dedicated to the improvement of his workplace and people, in the pursuit of public safety.  Armed with specialist policing knowledge and a background as a police safety skill educator, he contributes directly to the knowledge and skills development of individuals and teams, with a focus on safe operations.  Further to this, he pursues improvements in systems and processes to better secure the achievement of positive work outcomes.

In recognition of Patricia’s unwavering dedication and exemplary service to the Australian Turf Club for an impressive 19 years.  Patricia’s commitment to excellence, attention to detail and passion for her work has left an indelible mark on all associated with the organisation.  Her professionalism, integrity and tireless work ethic inspire all those around her.  Over the past years Patricia has become a respected part of the Naplan team, assisting both markers and management.  Her contributions have been invaluable and her legacy will endure for years to come.  In appreciation for her outstanding service and congratulations on this well deserved honour.

RONNA GUZMAN  

Ronna is a respected professional in the Community Service Sector, dedicated to serving seniors and people with disabilities.  She has been an active volunteer for 16 years.  Ronna started by assisting children with learning difficulties in primary schools and has since inspired high school students to volunteer through Volunteering NSW at Westmead Children’s Hospital.  Ronna provides emotional support to parents and carers.  She has also provided assistance with the Newtown Neighbourhood Centre, City of Ryde Council and the Community Migrant Resource Centre.  Ronna continues to do volunteer work with:  St Vincent Clinic, Addi Road, NSW Health, Neami National’s and Alliance of Philippine Community Organisational Official Inc.  A truly worthy recipient of a Pride of Workmanship Award.

Sweta Gupta, President of BPWS was recognised for her outstanding contribution in representing BPWS and Business and Professional Women Australia at the New York Conference in March 2024.  Sweta demonstrated exemplary leadership and dedication at the Leader’s Summit and the United Nations 68th session on the Status of Women, embodying the values and mission of BPWS.  Her efforts have significantly contributed to advancing the cause of women’s empowerment and gender equality on a global scale.  Sweta spoke at the United Nations on behalf of BPW Sudan, amplifying the voices and concerns of women in Sudan on the international scale.  Truly a worthy recipient of this award.

WAYNE BROWN 
SENIOR FLOUR MILLER

Wayne Brown has worked for George Weston Foods for over 50 years.  He started as a trainee four miller and after gaining the status of “Flour Miller” he has worked in this role ever since.  It takes a special kind of person to learn this type of work.  The first 22 years of his career was running an old style flour mill until the company built one of the most modern mills in the world.  The transition from the old style mill to the modern computer style was a challenging task.  Wayne proved himself to be up to the challenge and has been running this large mill ever since.  His knowledge and experience is second to none.  He is respected by his peers and superiors.  Wayne has worked many long hours to keep the plant running and in top condition.  He is the most reliable person and will never let you down, always giving his best and has always “gone that extra mile” all through his career.

She has been an invaluable asset in assisting us in our programs. Her knowledge and support ensure the clients welfare and goals are always at the forefront of what she does. Elena’s proficiency and expertise in education has contributed to best practice in our programs. Elena makes endless contributions in promoting the values and integrity of Eurella.
