Burwood Youth Festival
Saturday 10th May is the Burwood Youth Festival at the Burwood Park Pavilion. We will be catering and if you have not already done so, please contact Keith or Alf and let them know what times you can help? The festival will run from 2 to 5 pm, but we will start to set up around 12.30 pm. Should be fun with lots of live music from local artists.
Vocational Excellence Awards
Our Vocational Excellence Awards will be held on Monday 19th May at the Croydon Park Club. You will have received a formal invitation with a QR code for registering and payment. Have you registered? This is a major annual project for our club and we need your support! If you have not already done so, please think about the people in your workplace or maybe someone you come in contact with regularly to nominate for the Vocational Excellence Awards. Speak to their supervisor and provide them with a nomination form. This is your last chance, nominations to be emailed to: burwoodrotary@gmail.com no later than the close of business Monday 12th May.
May is Youth Service Month
May is Rotary International Youth Service Month, when the focus is on young people and the development of the next generation of leaders.

On Monday 12th May, Mark Anderson from Rotary Foundation Australia is coming to our club to offer some suggestions on how we might go about creating a lasting legacy for the Rotary Club of Burwood, using our 50th Anniversary Trust.
Rotary Pacific Zone Conference
Coolangatta is the venue for the 2025 Rotary Pacific Zone Conference, taking place from 30 October to 2 November 2025. We are encouraging all Rotarians and Rotaractors to come together. All are welcome. You will be inspired and motivated as we connect and share ideas to grow Rotary and activate the strategic priorities of Rotary International and The Rotary Foundation. Our 2025 event will be held at the Twin Towns Conference Centre. There are plenty of things you can do in this famous part of Australia and its hinterland before or after the conference.
