We welcomed guest speaker Margaret Cali , who shared her personal journey with infertility and her passion for supporting others through the emotional challenges of fertility and IVF. After a career in education, she now provides one-on-one coaching and masterclasses that focus on the often-overlooked emotional side of infertility. Margaret highlighted the importance of sensitivity when supporting those affected, noting that simple presence and practical help mean far more than well-meant but hurtful comments like “just relax.” She encouraged members to recognise the emotional toll fertility struggles can take, often comparable to major illnesses, and to respond with empathy and understanding.

 

 

We had a very enjoyable Dinner on Saturday night organised  by pp Sana at  Macau Chinese Restaurant.

We ran a sausage sizzle for Burwood Council  at the  'End Domestic Violence  Walk '   in  Burwood Park on Sunday 24th August 2025. It was a  cold and windy morning but we distributed 200 sausage sandwiches.

Please note the Bunnings Sausage Sizzle will be at Ashfield this Saurday 6th September. 

 

 

 

 

 

Coolangatta is the venue for the 2025 Rotary Pacific Zone Conference, taking place from 30 October to 2 November 2025.  We are encouraging all Rotarians and Rotaractors to come together.  All are welcome.  You will be inspired and motivated as we connect and share ideas to grow Rotary and activate the strategic priorities of Rotary International and The Rotary Foundation.  Our 2025 event will be held at the Twin Towns Conference Centre.  There are plenty of things you can do in this famous part of Australia and its hinterland before or after the conference.
