From the Presidents Desk
There will be a General meeting on Monday in the new format of dinner at 6.00 and the meeting will start at 7.00. I will see you there.
From our meeting on the 24th August.
Attendees: Hugo Robinson (President), Paul Sarks, Sana Kamalesan, Anna-Marie Sanni, Bruno Brandon, John Mansour, James Boggs, Alf Dimarco , Rob Whitney, Fred Walker, Walter Bock, Fuad Jaafar.
Guests: Edmund Teperski, Lynette Bock, Peter Robinson
Apologies: Peter Moore, Marilie Bomediano, John Kane, Keith Weeding
Presidents report:
- Fred and Hugo attended the District Presidents’ meeting last Thursday. Discussions included: District rezoning: effectively cutting NSW in two, with all south of the harbour in one district; unsure of implications for future district meetings etc.
- District Conference 2027: Ulladulla 2-4 April; John M mentioned his family has accommodation in Ulladulla and will billet some Rotarians. Club members are encouraged to attend and we hope to have a good showing from the Club.
- Japanese student exchange program: further investigation shows that the impost on the club would be minimal. We would need to nominate 3 contacts and periodically check in. The club agreed to take up this opportunity, with Hugo, John M and Anna-Marie as the nominated contacts.
Correspondence;
- Yr 11 student contacted the club regarding NYSF sponsorship. It was noted that the Club is already supporting a student from our catchment area and as such we are not in a position to support this student.

- Hugo stressed the importance of having as many people as possible, asking all Rotarians to spend as much time as possible at the BBQ and to encourage Rotarians to bring family and friends to help as well.
- All members to let Alf know what they can do to assist.
James update:
- 50th Anniversary Trust: Working group comprising James, Hugo, Anna-Marie and Paul working on finalising the proposal. This will go to the Trustees at their meeting on 7 September, and then be circulated to all club members for discussion at the next club meeting on 14 September.
