Thank you. Acknowledged Renga for his help in the District Committees.

Congratulations to new members just joining, esp Dennise as he worked with her in the early days of COVID organising combined District Conference but eventually it was cancelled one week out from the Schedules date due to COVIOD protocols.

Membership is an honour and it comes with obligations. Rotary is what you put into it and there are many areas to participate. eg youth projects, international projects,

Money for projects comes from The Rotary Foundation. It is able to fund the international projects be it water, sanitation, education, polio. Rotary started the polio eradication projects which was an Australian project, and eventually world wide. Now very few cases after 35 years. Confident there will be no cases in the future.

Happy to answer questions, New Member Jojo remembers he may have received the polio vaccine 35 years ago as a child in the Philippines.

Jojo Medical missions, can we participate, many available with funding through The Rotary Foundation. Any club can put together a project. Dennise has been to Cambodia with distributions through Days for Girls. She is going again in January.

PDG Stephen has been to Nepal re education in third world countries as women can pass their education on to there children which is an effective means of raising education standards quickly.

Understand that all Rotary Clubs are autonomous. We are part of Districts and Zones and they support us but don't te;ll us what to do.

Walter offers vote of thanks to Stephen Humphreys.

Sathish presented a flag from his Rotary Club of to Pres Fred.

Raffle won by Dennise, Angel, Fuad, Peter Moore, Anne Marie,

Raised $235.00

Eurella Trivia Night

Eurella after a hiatus of 2 years is hosting a fun filled Trivia Night on Saturday 19th November  at Concord Bowling Club.  I have attached a Flyer for more information.
The Trivia Night is a great opportunity for the Community to come together and enjoy a social night whilst raising funds to support our Eurella Cooking Collective Fundraising Appeal.

Eurella Cooking Collective is our newest initiative seeking to expand our cooking, hospitality, and social enterprise programs. These programs are designed to enhance interest and a love for cooking and to equip people with disability with employable skills across the hospitality and foodservice industries.

Once established, The Eurella Cooking Collective aims to continue Eurella’s commitment to bridging employment gaps for people with disability, foster accessible workplaces and forge social connections with other local organisations and businesses support and community.

To support the Eurella Cooking Collective initiative in the coming months, we aim to raise $50, 000 that will be used towards renovating and updating the Eurella Links to create a commercial grade kitchen that is purpose designed and fully equipped to deliver inspirational and high-quality hospitality, cooking, catering, and social enterprise programs.

There are many ways that you can support us to achieve our goal. Any support is greatly appreciated. Support could be through a financial donation towards our appeal or as a sponsor for our Trivia Night. Other ways include  donation of an item, service, or gift voucher that we could use as part of the raffle and silent auction during the evening.

Would love you to support the evening, bring a group or join a group? Please feel free to forward this email.

Warm Regards,

Report from Gingoog by PP Walter Bock

Dear Friends and supporters,

I received another email from Juvie and MinPRA in Gingoog. Somehow, miraculously they avoided much damage to themselves. On the compound it appears two fruit trees came down and the other crop was damaged. On the mountain property the damage was even less. They hate asking for help but they would like to help the island of Dinagat where Vera took a team on a SewAID Mission a couple of years ago.

The Year is 1991, two busses full of Rotary Exchange Students enter a parking lot in Sydney after 3 weeks around Australia on the “Capricorn Ramble Tour”. Saying goodbye was heart-breaking, knowing that we would soon be back home and maybe never see each other again.

Jumping to September 2021, downtown Frankfurt on a Friday afternoon in brilliant weather. Stepping out of the car to greet 3 people I have not seen for 30 year in front of their hotel.
